After having the session scheduled for over a month & then having to postpone our session last weekend due to the crazy weather, I think we were all really looking forward to the beautiful weather this weekend!!
What a fun bunch this was!!! There was Dad…the witty charming one. Mom…the sweet & nurturing one. Ava, the big sister who I could tell LOVED her little sister & then Emery the adorable & spunky little sister. (I should not forget Mimi, their awesome gramma who was my assistant for their session.)
Mom informed me they had not had their family portraits done in years & would love for the session to focus on the family. We did the “formal” family pictures but I just couldn’t resist getting a few of the cutest little girls by themselves!
It was so nice to get to meet you all!! Thank you so much for allowing me to be part of your day!
I was on vacation when I received the call from this little doll’s mommy. She said she wanted newborn pictures of her new little princess who was just turning 2 weeks old. I try to always do newborn pictures within the 1st ten days of baby’s life because babies change so much the 1st few weeks/months & they aren’t quite as happy with me posing them the way I do, the older they get. So, as soon as I returned home, we set the appointment for a few days following.
I got to meet the tiny princess, her mommy and daddy on Sunday at their home in Saint Francis. What a GORGEOUS family. So super sweet!!! I spent about half the day with them & enjoyed every mintue of it. This little gal kept me on my toes
So, here she is. 17 day old Princess Macie Mae.
Daddy loved all of my crocheted goodies, so we made good use of them. 😉
If you look back to my blog entry for July 18th, 2009 titled “He’s Gonna Be a Beautiful Baby”, you will see the maternity session for this little family. I just KNEW he was going to be a doll!!! I got to meet him this morning. Sean Alexander. He is the sweetest most handsome little man!! I could have just snuggled him and brought him home with me. Although, by the looks of things, his Mommy and Daddy are pretty crazy about him and I don’t think they would have allowed me out the door with him.
I had a hard time picking my favorites to blog, so there are quite a few. He’s just too precious not to share.
Mark, Becky, Neala…congrats on your precious new addition to your family!!!

The past week we spent some time up north in Door County. We needed some time away to just enjoy each other as a family. We started out the 1st two nights tent camping in Egg Harbor. We spent the 1st day settling in. We cooked all of our meals & snacks over the camp fire! SOOO much fun!! The 1st night it rained, it was windy and bitterly cold to be outside in a tent. The 2nd day we spent shopping and spending more time around the campfire. That night was the coldest night, yet. It was mid 40’s, but we got smart & bought a couple of 30° rated sleeping bags. We were all snug as a bug in a rug. Our 3rd day there we biked Penninsula State Park. Chris, the hubby, had Caleb, our 6 yr old, on a tagalong behind his bike. I had Claira, our 16 month old, in a buggy behind my bike. 9+ miles of biking and a couple of sore hinies later we were ready to move on to our cozy little room. The last 2 nights we stayed at the Inn at Little Sister Hill where we had a 2 br loft suite. We spent the remainder of our time in the heated pool, on the beach, fishing and enjoying each other. Along the way we indulged in many delish door county treats. Yum!
Here are a few pictures from our little getaway.
